Would highly recommend if you need trustworthy, certified mechanical services. If you’re seeing this review because you know you’re about to drop a lot of money on your car for repair or maintenance, and you’ve been burned before, this Burt Brothers is wonderful. They’re very reliable, will treat you with kindness and respect (as long as you’re not a jerk), and they won’t take advantage of you like many shops have been known to do. Their pricing is fair, but often a lot less expensive than competitors. They’re very fast, but can also be very patient and flexible with you if you’re not in a hurry. No one is perfect— they’re human, too— and anyone can make a mistake, but if that were to happen, they’ll make it right. I’ve been to a couple of Burt Brothers locations, and would recommend the company generally based on my experiences, but I’ve been returning to this location now for years. Car trouble sucks, but I know that if it’s something I can’t fix myself, this is the first place I go. I’ve had a couple different vehicles serviced there multiple times each (standard maintenance and breakdowns), and I’ve come to greatly appreciate and trust them. In the past 20 years, I’ve dealt with dozens of different mechanics and shops with many different vehicles. Of those others, more often than not, I’ve regretted them. There are all sorts of reasons to worry about taking your car to a shop you’ve not been to. I’m very glad this Burt Brothers location was recommended to me, and that I listened to that recommendation. Burt Brothers is definitively better than all other shops I’ve personally dealt with, and absolutely stands out as being a remarkably caring, professional, trustworthy, excellent business. They have truly gone above and beyond what they needed to for me. I don’t even live in the area anymore, but I’ll go out of my way in the future to return for their services; they certainly went out of their way to take care of me. They’ve got a customer for life.

I have been going to Burt Brothers on 21st South for many years. Consistently the best experience of any repair shop. Recently had an issue where there was a misunderstanding and they didn’t diagnose the original reason I took it in. They made it right and took very good care of me in the end. No business is perfect, ultimately the business I trust most is the one that truly makes it right when something goes a little wrong. 99% of the time it’s been an amazing experience, and the 1% it wasn’t… they absolutely made right. I would definitely recommend them and will continue to trust my vehicles (and my wallet) to this business. Thanks to Rick, Leah, Tanner, and all the great staff at Burt Brothers.

This was my first timer buying from them. I didn't expect them to carry tires within my tight budget, but they had several models. Conveniently tucked between McDonald's across the street and Smith's, in the middle of Sugarhouse, they had what I needed, which I found on their helpful website... I'll be back.

Burt Bros always takes care of me and my daughter. Today I thought I had an oil leak, I was ready for a big bill…they identified it was a small problem with an aluminum part that gets regular wear and tear during oil changes…and since I am a regular customer they didn’t charge me to fix it. They said it was a small problem and thanked me for my business. I go to the sugarhouse location, and always will because they are honest with me about our cars, and make sure we safe when we’re on the road. For a mom and her daughter, this is amazing!
